Rising stars Claire Wells and Paulina Lim will give a colorful foliage-season recital in the Stetson Studio at Vermont Public. Their program brings together four masterpieces of the violin and piano repertoire, written within a span of just 40 years yet inhabiting completely different musical worlds: the shifting light and shadow of Debussy, the haunting nostalgia of Prokofiev, Bartók’s dazzling folk energy, and the lyricism of Brahms, whom Claire describes as “an introverted soul that yearns to hug the world.” Join us to experience these four distinct musical worlds up close in the intimacy of the Stetson Studio.
